Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever used a more maddening service than this. My current DB was suspended even though the AWS Marketplace subscription was set to renew. But surprise - renewal didn’t happen because Neo4j decided to decommission the existing subscription. Brilliant move. No idea why anyone thought that was a good approach, but fine, whatever, I went through the hoops. Then the Neo4j documentation cheerfully claims that once the new subscription is active, all existing projects and orgs will magically move over. Spoiler alert: absolutely none of that happened. Alright, I thought, let’s just create a new project. Except… another roadblock. I can’t even give it a custom name, so I’m stuck with the extremely imaginative “New Project.” The custom name option is “Only available for Prepaid or Credit Card payment methods.” Really? That’s the line you draw? That’s the feature you gatekeep? Stunning. Maybe support could help? Of course not! I can’t even create a support ticket because the genius ticketing form requires a project name - it just doesn’t detect the project it forced me to name “New Project” in the first place. Fantastic design. Maybe I can call someone? Nope! The recorded message tells me to open a ticket - yes, the same ticket I can’t open. At this point, I’ll be pushing to move my entire team off this circus of a service.
