Loading dump files is still, after all these years, painful

It should be the simplest thing to import a dump file. It's such basic stuff to fall down on. Something like "Create database from dump file" > "Select your dump file", "Name your database (with option to overwrite the default neo4j database) > Done. It would be great if you could revisit that. Thanks.

Hi Doug, thanks for this feedback and I agree with it 100% - the current flow has room for improvement and we have been working on the foundations to make this possible, and work well on all platforms.
We will address 1. Ability to name your database 2. Options to overwrite existing databases (could be neo4j or any name clash). Let me know if there's anything else you've experienced that needs attention

Nissanka Fernando Thank you, that would be great. I also find it impractical that you only seem to support two legacy versions of Neo4j when you realease a new version of Neo4j Desktop. I have a number of projects that are not really active, but still need to be maintained, and that use earlier versions of Neo4j. There is no budet to update the database version for those projects. I know that you are still allowing use of v 1.6, but it would be nice if it was possible to support all legacy versions of neo4j. I assume that this is impractical, but it does kinda force us to spend the time upgrading even when we're not being paid to do so. Thanks.
