Recently the Data importer has started to ask for login details when I start the DataImporter from a running databases context menu. Regardsless of how I try to log in, it fails "Unable to extract host from undefined" when I try to log on to "//localhost"

Hey, have you remembered to add the bolt port to your connection url, for example localhost:7687? We no longer populate the host with the default localhost address which means it could be easier to forget . We're actively thinking about how to make it easier to spot these simple but easy to make omissions.

Gregory King: I still get the same error even when supplying the port.
If i use this connection URL "//localhost:7687" I get the "Unable to extract host from undefined"
If I use "localhost:7687" i get "WebSocket connection failure. Due to security constraints in your web browser, the reason for the failure is not available to this Neo4j Driver. Please use your browsers development console to determine the root cause of the failure. Common reasons include the database being unavailable, using the wrong connection URL or temporary network problems. If you have enabled encryption, ensure your browser is configured to trust the certificate Neo4j is configured to use. WebSocket

bent.s.lund@gmail.com: This error is most commonly seen when trying to use the the securely hosted data-importer (https, either at https://data-importer.neo4j.io or https://data-importer.graphapp.io) with a non-certificate secured neo4j installation. Let me know if you still get the same error using the http variant (http://data-importer.graphapp.io). Note that the non-secure variant is not available on neo4j.io for operational reasons.
Again, we're thinking more about how to make this more transparent.

Gregory King: Hi, using http works. If I have a "non-certificate secured neo4j installation" is this something I can correct?

bent.s.lund@gmail.com: If you're just doing local development, it's probably not something you need to worry about. For other uses, you can read more about it here. https://neo4j.com/docs/operations-manual/current/security/ssl-framework/
