Hey Viamo, it's been a little while coming, but you might appreciate the simpler cursor in the new query editor available here that is soon to become the default editor very soon.

Is it the block cursor you are having issues with? I'm guessing you'd find a regular slim cursor clearer? If you can provide more details on what is causing you issues that'd be useful.
